Kick start your career in financial planning with the Fairstone Adviser Academy, a fully funded, two year graduate development programme designed to turn ambitious graduates into qualified Financial Advisers.

Starting in September 2026, this national programme offers real client experience, professional mentoring and full sponsorship through the CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, all from one of the UK’s largest Chartered wealth management firms.

What is the Fairstone Adviser Academy?

The Fairstone Adviser Academy is a structured 24 month, full-time training programme that blends hands on experience with formal qualification and professional development.

You will work across core business areas of financial planning while building the technical, ethical and behavioural skills needed to become a trusted adviser. Alongside your day to day role, you will study towards your fully funded CII Level 4 qualification, supported by dedicated study time, learning resources and regular mentoring.

By the end of the programme, successful graduates are fully qualified and ready to progress into a Financial Adviser position within Fairstone.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You do not need experience in financial services to apply. We’re looking for graduates who are:

  • Curious, ambitious and motivated to build a professional career

  • Strong communicators, both written and verbal

  • Confident working with detail and deadlines

  • Resilient, adaptable and professional in approach

  • Interested in helping clients make confident financial decisions

To apply for the Fairstone Adviser Academy, you must have:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above

  • The right to work in the UK

  • A full UK driving licence by the end of the programme

  • Willingness to travel when required

  • Commitment to complete the CII Level 4 Diploma

  • DBS clearance prior to appointment

Months 1 to 6

You will support client onboarding, prepare review packs and learn how our back office systems operate.

Months 7 to 12

You will assist with supervised client reviews and correspondence, learning how to apply Consumer Duty in practice.

Months 13 to 18

You will begin supporting research, technical analysis and suitability report preparation.

Months 19 to 24

You will shadow Financial Advisers, attend client meetings and gain experience of the digital advice process.

Alongside this, you will complete all R01 to R06 exams, attend quarterly masterclasses with industry partners, and take part in structured soft skills training covering communication, ethics, empathy and leadership.
