The Role

Fairstone Group is embarking on an exciting journey of growth and transformation, which has enabled us to create this brand-new group delivery lead role. Drawing upon your own expert experience of working with senior leaders, technology and change teams to create a single, prioritised view of all change across the group, you will also be at the forefront of our ambitious technology and change agenda. You will establish best practice portfolio management disciplines, as well as lead the delivery management of the strategic change initiatives to create excellent outcomes for our clients. With this being such a visible and influential role, you will also be charged with driving internal communications and engagement from within the technology team and across the group!

Qualifications

 

  • Establish and own the single, prioritised view of all technology change including office moves and acquisitions.
  • Categorise all work into run/grow/transform i.e. (i) BAU including modernisation, decommissioning and technical debt remediation, (ii) office moves/organic growth and (iii) acquisitions, always ensuring alignment with group business strategy.
  • Closely collaborate with our technology leadership team to support with the translation of all development work into resource plans that will directly influence recruitment and partner strategy (near/offshore augmentation).
  • Be the interface between the technology change teams and finance, helping to ensure all projects are appropriately budgeted and strong financial management becomes a hygiene factor.
  • Facilitate investment committee decisions (strategy/finance/risk/”do-ability”).
  • Support with the phased expansion of the technology team based on demand and project sequencing.
  • Act as the commercial custodian for all near/offshore technology contracts.
  • Take on the role of “senior delivery manager” for key strategic projects.
  • Create a high performing team that will house all future technology aligned delivery/project managers, scrum masters and PMO.

 

We’re looking for someone who is an expert at translating varied and often complex business stakeholder requirements into simple, viable, delivery options. You’ll be a natural collaborator who is armed with proven experience of being a strategic, commercially focused change leader who has understanding of both traditional waterfall and more modern agile delivery methods.

You will have a proven track record in successful delivery of enterprise-level change agendas, utilising a hybrid delivery team of in-house change agents and external partners.

Above all, you will have expert interpersonal skills that will enable you to build and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders across Fairstone, as well as be absolutely brimming with genuine, positive vibes that will enable you and those around you to be the best they can be!

 

  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • PRINCE2/project management professional (PMP) or equivalent.
  • Certified scrum master or product manager.
  • Desirable certifications also include SAFe Agilist, ITIL and commercial and contracts management certificate (IACCM).
